About PEP

PEP provides the focus of Public Economics research at the LSE. Its activities include theoretical and empirical work on the economics of taxation, the provision of public goods, social insurance and the economics of income distribution. The Programme regularly welcomes short- and long-term visitors to work with established faculty and fosters an active public-economics component within the Economics Department's PhD programme.
