Improving the Evidence Base for Understanding the Links between Inequalities and Poverty: Events

Joseph Rowntree Foundation and International Inequalities Institute

A podcast and slides from The Relationship between Inequality and Poverty: mechanisms and policy options, a public lecture hosted by LSEWorks in February 2017 is now available to play and download.

The lecture presented by Eleni Karagiannaki and Abigail Mcknight examined the empirical relationship between economic inequality and poverty across countries and over time, paying attention to different measurement issues. It considers a range of potential mechanisms driving this relationship and explores policy options.

A copy of the powerpoint presentation is available to download: 'The Relationship between Inequality and Poverty: mechanisms and policy options' (pdf).
