Poverty reduction in Europe, social policy and innovation (ImPRovE)

CASE is a partner in a four-year project funded by the European Union (FP7) on “Poverty reduction in Europe: Social policy and innovation”. The project aims to evaluate the Lisbon decade in terms of policies and actions against poverty in Europe and to improve the understanding of a) the relationship between employment, social protection and social inclusion and of b) the conditions required to meet the EU 2020 poverty reduction targets.

Specifically, CASE is involved in three research streams:

• Assessing the poverty impact of tax-benefit reforms  
• Assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of targeted cash transfers
• Job growth, income redistribution and social cohesion by 2020
