The Inflation Target Ten Years On

Ten years ago, the then governor of the Bank of England delivered the inaugural LSE Bank of England lecture which argued the case for price stability. In this lecture, Mervyn King will examine whether ten years of inflation targeting have delivered the promised benefits, and discuss the challenges that lie ahead.
Mervyn King has been deputy governor of the Bank of England since 1998, responsible for monetary policy, and a member of the Monetary Policy Committee. Prior to this he was the Bank of England's chief economist and executive director.
This event is free and open to all but a ticket is required. Tickets will be available from the 28th October.
If you are a member of the general public then you can obtain a ticket by either phoning the public lecture ticket line on 020 7955 6100 or by e-mailing events@lse.ac.uk, leaving your name, mailing address and the title of the lecture and a ticket will be sent in the post.
If you are an LSE student then you can obtain a ticket from the LSESU reception in the East Building while if you are a member of LSE staff you can e-mail events@lse.ac.uk and a ticket will be sent in the internal LSE post.
