The 2024 CASE Annual Report includes an overview of our Centre’s work, updates from our staff, PhDs, visitors and associates, and summaries of publications and events from last year. It includes a set of articles showcasing the breadth and depth of our research, covering a range of topics including how the UK's social security and child maintenance systems haven't kept up with family change, the relationship between NHS privatisation and health outcomes, determinants of the “social risks” of caring, multiple insecurities, the harshness of the benefit cap with a lack of affordable housing in the UK, a child benefit for the United States, child poverty in the UK's asylum system, sustainable communities, and the persistence of poverty across generations.
