Housing for Victims of Miscarriages of Justice. Report for Commonweal Housing.
Published 28 January 2016
Commonweal Housing commissioned this study to look in more detail at the housing and other problems – including lack of any formal support, faced by victims of “miscarriages of justice”, which arise where a convicted criminal is subsequently found innocent after referral to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) (or Scottish equivalent). We consider a range of options and the opportunities, drawbacks, and possible mitigation actions of each option are set out and conclusions drawn.
