About this event
A research conference organised by Annabelle Krause-Pilatus (IZA) and Oriana Bandiera (LSE and IZA).
Labour market challenges and chances for women: Evidence from South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa
This conference will cover a range of topics, including fertility and workforce participation, long-term economic impacts, workplace safety and discrimination, and barriers to women's employment. Through evidence-based presentations and policy-relevant insights, the event aims to foster dialogue on strategies for improving economic opportunities and outcomes, particularly for women in developing contexts.
Sessions will feature research on labour market dynamics, entrepreneurship, social norms, and interventions that promote gender equity in workplaces worldwide. The event provides a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and policy recommendations to drive inclusive economic growth.
The conference programme is available here.
