About this event
The annual two-day conference on Comparative Formal Theory (CFTC) will take place at the LSE on the 11th and 12th of October 2024.
The conference started at the LSE in 2013. Since then, it has been hosted in various US universities such as Harvard, Yale, Berkeley, the University of Rochester, or Emory University. On 11-12 October 2024, the CFTC will be back at the LSE for its 10th edition.
The conference brings together scholars from all over the world using the tools of game theory to study important questions in comparative politics. Presentations at this year's conference will touch upon the theme of misinformation, the role of democracy to alleviate conflicts, purges and repression in autocracies, national identity, and how to best fight terrorism. Presenters include junior scholars as well as more established figures.
You can register to the conference here.

The Political Science and Political Economy (PSPE) research group at the LSE brings together faculty and PhD students who do quantitative and/or formal research on political institutions, political behaviour, public policy, and political economy.
The PSPE Research Seminar provides a venue for researchers (mostly from outside of the LSE) to present their work.
These seminars are held on Tuesdays in term time at 14.00-15.30, both ONLINE AND IN PERSON in room SAL 3.05, unless specified otherwise.
Seminar coordinator: Mathilde Emeriau
