Biography
Veronica is a PhD candidate in Economics at the LSE, where she received her MRes in Economics in 2019. She employs empirical and theoretical methods from the applied microeconomics, international trade, and spatial economics literatures to study the economics of environmental conservation in developing countries. Her research seeks to understand the spillovers and general equilibrium effects of large-scale land use change. Current research projects look at tropical deforestation in Colombia, Brazil, and Indonesia, and at a reforestation programme in Pakistan.
