Nicola Curci is a senior economist at Banca d?Italia, working in the Public Finance Division of the Directorate General for Economics, Statistics and Research. His main research topics are about microsimulation of tax and benefit systems, inequality and income distributions. He contributed to the construction of BIMic, a static microsimulation model of the Italian tax and benefit system that is actively used at Banca d?Italia for (both ex-ante and ex-post) evaluating Government fiscal policies. Before joining Banca d?Italia, Nicola worked as an economist at the European Commission in Brussels and at the Italian Ministry of Economics and Finance. He holds a PhD in Economics from Bocconi University and a MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.
