I am a PhD candidate in the Department of International History, supervised by Dr Antony Best. My research examines the brief period of Anglo-American-Japanese cooperation following the Washington Conference (1921-22), where the major powers attempted to stabilize their relations as well as prevent future conflict in China and the Pacific. I hold a BA in history from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MA in political science from Waseda University.

Research Interests:
  • The Spirit of the Washington Conference: Britain, Japan, and the United States 1921-26
