Thursday 01 December 2016 12:00 - 13:30

This event will be held ONLINE. Register via EventBrite

The seminar will present recent trends in economic inequality and individual carbon emissions at the international and national levels. It will also seek to identify the conditions under which carbon mitigation measures can be implemented with positive social impacts - and, conversely, discuss how economic inequality reduction policies can be performed with limited impacts on carbon emissions. Lucas Chancel is coordinator of the World Inequality Report at the Paris School of Economics, he is a Lecturer at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations and Lecturer in Inequality and sustainable development policies at Sciences Po Paris. He is co-author, with Prof Thomas Piketty, of the recent report 'Carbon and Inequality: From Kyoto to Paris'.
