About this event
The prevalence of mental health problems, including depressive symptoms and anti-social behaviours, among adolescents are increasing, which could put further pressure on healthcare services. In this seminar, we present findings from a study examining the association between mental health problems in adolescence and general practice accosts during adulthood up to age 50. The study used data from three British cohorts to estimate the size of the effect of adolescent conduct and emotional problems on the costs of GP services used by these individuals up to age 50. The estimates were also extrapolated to project future primary care costs for the current population of UK adolescents.
These seminars are held on Wednesdays in term time at 12:00-13:00
