Biography
Martin is a Professor at LSE, based in the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre and Department of Health Policy. He is Director of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Research Programme for Social Care. Martin has worked for many years as a researcher in the fields of social care, mental health, dementia, learning disability and neurodiversity. Much of his work uses economic arguments and evidence to inform policy discussion and influence practice development. His work has had numerous impacts on policy and practice in England and internationally.
