Biography

Ruth is a Professor of Social Policy at the University of York, and a Visiting Professor at CASE. She leads the participatory Changing Realities research programme, a partnership between almost 200 parents and carers on a low-income, researchers at the universities of York and Salford and Child Poverty Action Group. She also leads Safety Nets, the first in-depth examination of the relationship between social security and devolution within the UK.
