Biography
Irene Bucelli is a CASE Research Officer whose research focuses on multidimensional inequality, poverty and deprivation. Irene is also a Research Officer at the LSE School of Public Policy and programme coordinator for the Beveridge 2.0 Redefining the Social Contract.
Irene Bucelli's current research interests are:
- Multidimensional inequality

- The relationship between inequality and poverty
- Education policy
- Applied philosophy
Irene's latest projects include:
- A review of the Households Below Average Income (HBAI) material deprivation measures and the questions in the Family Resources Survey (FRS) which are used to derive these measures, commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
- A review of the international evidence on promising policies and programmes designed to reduce poverty and social exclusion across twelve key policy areas, commissioned by the Wales Centre for Public Policy
- Improving the Evidence Base for Understanding the Links between Inequalities and Poverty, in collaboration with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the LSE International Inequalities Institute
