Joseph Usher
CASE Project Support Assistant
Biography
Joe works as a project support assistant, providing research assistance and support for LSE Housing and Communities at the LSE. He conducts qualitative research on social disadvantage and explores the impact of public policy on low-income areas over time. Alongside his work at LSE, he is also a doctoral researcher in Urban Planning at the University of Manchester, funded by Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and the ESRC. His research examines the impacts of English devolution on housing delivery. He is particularly interested in questions around regional inequality, the importance of place-making, and affordable housing delivery. He holds an MA in Modern History from KCL and a BA from the University of Bristol. Joe also volunteers as a funding officer for a local charity.
