Biography

Ola is a PhD candidate in Economics at the LSE working on grant hosted in STICERD. Her work lies at the intersection of Behavioral, Labor, and Development Economics. She researches the role of behavioral frictions in perpetuating unemployment spells and generating path-dependent harmful equilibria, the role of preference formation in shaping policy impacts in fragile settings, and the role of government policy in shaping healthcare access, availability, and healthcare cost spillovers. She examines the role of misperceptions and misequilibria in shaping behavior in various settings to better understand optimal policy responses. Ola holds an MSc in Economics with Distinction from the LSE. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Huntsman Program with degrees in Economics and Statistics from the Wharton School and International Studies from the School of Arts and Sciences. She has extensive experience across international development organizations, government agencies, and management consulting in the MENA region.
