H.E.R. Grants Programme

The Hub created a grant programme dedicated to supporting women and minorities in Economics and related fields at LSE and to stimulate gender research. A wide variety of scholars and projects have been supported over two previous rounds.

The grants were to support proposals from LSE faculty and PhD students with a particular focus on the issues facing women and other underrepresented groups. Funding objectives included (but were not limited to):

• Fund action-oriented research on gender-transformative policies and interventions.
• Develop researchers' expertise to conduct gender-transformative research.
• Actions that support career development of women or under-represented minorities at the LSE or in academia more broadly (e.g. organization of conferences, networking & mentoring programmes, help for research dissemination, etc.).

We were delighted with both the quantity and the quality of the applications received, and after two rounds the following projects were supported:
