The Hub seeks to foster and support a community of researchers, particularly women and others from underrepresented backgrounds working on gender research, by offering the opportunity for scholars from around the world to spend time at LSE.
The programme provides fellows with dedicated time, resources and access to a supportive research environment, enabling them to develop their research, build collaborations and strengthen their academic networks.
By bringing researchers together across institutions, disciplines and career stages, the programme aims to strengthen the pipeline of talent in gender research, support career progression and increase the visibility and influence of research on gender equality within the economics profession. Fellows are also encouraged to share their work through seminars, workshops and other engagement activities, helping to connect academic research with wider policy debates.
Ultimately, the programme seeks to create opportunities for researchers who are underrepresented in the profession, strengthen the community of scholars working on gender, and ensure that gender research has a stronger voice in mainstream economics and policy.
