Thanks to a generous donation from Jim Thomas (1933-2024), the Shaw Library now houses a wonderful collection of Folio Society books for LSE staff and students to enjoy.

Jim, a valued member of our community, was an alumnus and served in the Economics Department from 1960 to 1999. He was also interested in the History of Economics and contributed his research to a dedicated section on our STICERD website. 

A passionate book lover, he delighted in the Folio Society's beautifully illustrated editions.
