Visiting STICERD

Visitors

STICERD welcomes applications from visiting scholars who wish to spend time at the Centre and contribute to its research community.

To ensure that visits are well aligned with the Centre's research environment, all visitors must have an academic host. Prospective applicants should note that they are expected to present a clear case for being based in STICERD, to explain convincingly how their work will complement our research environment, and to share the proposed duration and timing of their visit. We encourage visitors to participate fully in the research life of STICERD, for example through attending seminars run by the different research programmes and other events related to their research.

Please note that STICERD has a limited amount of visitor desk space. As a result, priority will be given to those whose proposed visit demonstrates a particularly strong fit with STICERD's research community and activities.

Visitors will be allocated desk space and will also be able to enjoy access to the facilities of LSE as a whole, for example the LSE Library.

Please note that if you are a student enrolled at another university and you wish to visit for between one term and one year, there is a different, centrally managed visitor application process which you must follow.

Applications are reviewed termly by the Centre's Management team . Therefore, you will need to apply at least a term prior to your intended visit.

Funding

At present applications can only be considered from those who already have (or expect to have) adequate financial support.
