The nearest underground stations are Holborn (running on Piccadilly and Central lines) and Temple (running on District and Circle lines). The closest mainline train station is Waterloo (overground services plus Jubilee, Northern, Bakerloo and Waterloo & City lines).

Waterloo Station.

Please Note: There will be no step-free access to the Jubilee line until July 2014. A reduced escalator service is also in operation until late May.

For step-free access to the Jubilee line, please use nearby Westminster and Southwark stations.

The Information Point is open between the hours of 06:45 and 22:00 Monday to Saturday, and 08:00 and 22:00 on Sundays.

Directions From Waterloo

If you are coming from Waterloo, you can walk across Waterloo bridge. Cross the Strand and turn right into the Aldwych. Follow the Aldwych until you come to Kingsway. Walk up Kingsway and turn right into Sardinia Street. Continue to walk up, into Lincoln's Inn Fields. 32 Lincoln's Inn Fields will be on the right side of the street.

Alternatively you can take a bus from the station: Bus stop K (Waterloo Road/Tenison Way) serves the most buses travelling to the Aldwych.

You can also use Barclays Cycle Hire from Waterloo station and dock your bicycle in or around the LSE campus at Sardinia Street, Portugal Street and Houghton Street.

Directions From Holborn

If you are coming from Holborn, turn left out of the main entrance and walk along Kingsway. After 5 to 10 minutes you will come across the LSE's New Academic Building. Turn left here into Sardinia Street. Continue to walk up, into Lincoln's Inn Fields. 32 Lincoln's Inn Fields will be on the right side of the street.

Directions From Temple

If you are coming from Temple turn left out of the main entrance, cross Temple Place and go up Arundel Street. You need to cross right across the Aldwych. From here turn left and follow the Aldwych until you come to Kingsway on the right hand side. Walk up Kingsway and turn right into Sardinia Street. Continue to walk up, into Lincoln's Inn Fields. 32 Lincoln's Inn Fields will be on the right side of the street.

Travelling By Bus.

Buses that stop at the Aldwych are: 1, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 23, 26, 59, 68, X68, 76, 77a, 91, 139, 168, 171, 172, 176, 188, 243, 341, 521 and RV1.

Every London bus route is wheelchair accessible, with automatic ramps and designated wheelchair spaces.

Barclays Cycle Hire.

Barclays Cycle Hire is London's self-service, bike-sharing scheme for short journeys. Simply hire a bike, ride it where you like, then return it to any docking station. At the LSE you can dock your bicycle around the campus at Sardinia Street, Portugal Street and Houghton Street.

Car Parking.

LSE is located within London's congestion charging zone. See the Congestion Charge website for details of how to pay it.

There are no dedicated parking spaces outside 32 Lincoln's Inn Fields, but there are 'pay and display' parking places and 'Green Badge Bays' around Lincoln's Inn. The Green Badge is Camden council's own disabled parking permit scheme.

The area around the LSE falls between Westminster City Council and Camden Council, with metered and pay and display parking.

For Blue Badge holders there are seven dedicated parking bays within reasonable walking distance: one in Portugal Street (often full); one in Sheffield Street (new, apparently rarely used); three in Surrey Street (rarely all full); two in Temple Place (also rarely both full).
