About this event

STICERD's Economics of Environment and Energy Programme (EEE) and the Programme on Innovation and Diffusion (POID) within the LSE Economics Department are convening the second LSE Environment Camp at the LSE on 14-15 May 2025. The call for papers is now open.

This two-day conference aims to provide PhD students from all fields of economics with an opportunity to present new research on environmental issues, engage with future colleagues, and receive valuable feedback.

We are accepting submissions for papers from PhD students in all areas of environmental and energy economics. The conference will feature a keynote lecture by Torsten Persson on the topic of Environmental Populism. Presentation slots will be 30 minutes each.

There is no fee to apply or register for the conference, and all PhD students are welcome to apply. The deadline for submissions is Friday 1st March, please submit via the LSE Environment Camp website. While draft papers are preferred, extended abstracts will also be considered.

Submissions will be reviewed by a scientific committee, and authors will be notified of their acceptance by March 31, 2025. Please note that limited funding is available to cover travel expenses for speakers only. PhD students who are not presenting are also welcome to attend.

For further information please contact Lubala Chibwe, by email: l.chibwe@lse.ac.uk.
