About this event
Join the discussion on what reimagining work in action looks like at LSE. In her work, Professor Ashraf shows how meaning in work and the desire to contribute are hidden drivers of both motivation and productivity. Her research reveals that when organisations enable people to connect their everyday tasks to meaningful purpose, they unlock economic benefits for all.
Drawing on a series of large-scale field studies conducted with global firms, Professor Ashraf will share:
- Performance Gains: How enabling employees to connect with their personal sense of purpose generates performance gains for the firm and economic benefits for workers
- Altruistic Capital and Retention: How firms can help build - or deplete!- altruistic capital in employees, with large productivity and well-being impacts.
- Empowering Employees in the Age of AI: How technological change, including AI, requires a fundamental rethink of employee agency and empowerment
