About this event

The programme will include a panel on Building a New European Political Economy. This session will explore Europe’s economic, technological, and political challenges, and the institutional responses required to support long-term growth and sovereignty.

Following this there will be a panel on Deliberation and Cohesion will examine how deliberative processes shape moral judgement, collective decision-making, and the cohesion of democratic and economic systems, drawing on experimental, theoretical, and institutional perspectives.

The focus wil then turn to Alternatives to Capitalism, with a discussion of the democratic institutions, work relations, and global practices needed to support feasible, stable, and democratically legitimate post‑capitalist futures.

The day will a keynote lecture by Heather Boushey, Middle Out Economics: The Blueprint We Need for the Economy We Want, addressing how economic systems can deliver equitable growth, fairer markets, and stronger outcomes for the middle class.
