Japanese Studies

The Japanese Studies Programme was a STICERD research programme concerned with the study of Japanese economics, business and political development. Their research focused on the pre-war Japanese economy, Japan's political and diplomatic history, and on the international history of Japan and East Asia. The programme ran occasional special events and seminars on Japanese economic, political and social history.
