Biography

Raphael von Busch holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, and undergraduate degrees from Sciences Po Paris and the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied Economics and Data Science. He has two years of work experience at NERA Economic Consulting in New York, where he contributed to expert reports used in litigation and developed econometric models in the Finance and Securities practice. He also interned at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs (Economic Analysis unit) and worked at an AI start-up in San Francisco. Raphael joined STICERD in July 2025 as a Research Assistant working with Xavier Jaravel.
