Biography

Polina is a social scientist with experience in higher education, charity and Local Authority sectors. Prior to joining City University, Polina worked at the Centre for Analysis of Social Exclusion at LSE, where she remains a Visiting Research Fellow. She also worked at UCL Institute of Education and the Royal National Institute of Blind People. Her research to date has focused predominantly on disadvantage and social and economic inequalities, as well as violence and abuse, utilizing a range of national surveys, administrative and linked datasets. Polina holds a PhD in Sociology and an MSc in Social Research Methods and Statistics from City University and a BA in Economics and Sociology from the University of York.
